Ozzy was a "once in a lifetime" dog. We are so grateful for the places he took us and the friends we have made because of him.
AFC CH Red Oak’s Cool Hand Luke MH ROM
7/15/95 to 8/3/10
DC AFC Riverbend’s Deacon’s Dandy CD HOF x CH Keystone’s Jackie has Class
was my first Vizsla. He was bred by Laura Bauman. Luke was finished in
the show ring by the age of 2. Even with a late start to his field
career, He earned his Master Hunter at age 5 and his Amateur field
championship by age 7. He was 3 points away from his Field Championship
and Dual Championship when he retired from field competition.
best attributes were his temperament and attitude. He was a very happy
dog, and throughout his long wonderful life has put up with additions to
our canine family, and the growing pains of he and I learning together
about training and competing in the field. Aside from my mentors, I feel
he is the best teacher I ever had and am grateful for having such a
wonderful dog to start our lines with.
CH Snow Ridge Run De Vu at Red Oak MH
10-7-99 to 9-30-2013
DC AFC Red Oak’s Stormin Norman MH x DC AFC Snow Ridge Nokomis
was our second Vizsla. She was bred by Sue and Randy Boggs of Snow
Ridge Vizslas. She finished her show championship with 4 major wins,
including a Best of Winners at a specialty show from the puppy classes.
Rudy earned her Master hunter title when she was 5. A natural retriever,
Rudy loved to participate in Shoot-to-retrieve events and chukar
her two litters, Rudy produced amazing temperaments, beautiful show
conformation and great field ability. Rudy crossed the rainbow bridge
one week before her 14th birthday. We miss our Wooooody-Wooo, but she
had a wonderful life and taught us so much.
Grousebend’s Never Say Never MH
CH Rosewood’s Short Notice JH x Shyanne Bitabrandy V Hunden SH
and his sister Remi were bred by Bill. We didn’t plan on keeping him or
Remi, but when their mother died suddenly when they were only 2 weeks
old, he won our hearts as a puppy and has never left us since. Being the
Vizsla person in our marriage, I said I’d never own a shorthair, but
Dude has made me say “Never say Never”.
Grousebend’s Unfinishd Biznis SH
4.24.2002 to 9.26.12
by Bill as well, Dude’s little sister also has filled a void in our
hearts left when her mother Shyanne died just 2 weeks after Remi was
born. With Shyanne only having one master leg, and a show major, before
we lost her, we named Remi “Unfinished Biznis” because she will finish
the things that her mother never had a chance to.
10 years young, Remi left us way to early. Cancer has taken another
great dog over the Rainbow Bridge. She will live in our hearts forever.
